Using text Cast Members as MoviePath's?
I need some help creating a script to read a text file (either text contained within a Text Cast Member or a plain text file in a folder) and use it as a MoviePath pathname.
Basically I'm trying to build a movie that can launch software .exe's by dynamically reading a text file (or the text cast mamber) which will contain the pathname and .exe name.
Any assistance will be greatfully appreciated.

Re: Using text Cast Members as MoviePath's?
Basically I have done this in my project just like you are requesting.
Here I post the principle as an easy-to-understand example:
case expression of
expression1 : appCode = appList[1]
expression2 : appCode = appList[2]
expression3 : appCode = appList[3]
otherwise:
nothing
end case
appToCall = the moviePath & member(appCode).text
open appToCall
quit
....

Thanks for your help. I ended up finding a different way to get it to work for me but your input gave me the help to inspire the solution.
Thanks again.
