Using the scaling function on a line

I am very new to Flash. Is there a way to use the Scaling function on a line
to extend the line only from one end AND without making it thicker? Here is
what I am trying to do:

Layer 1, Frame 1. I have a line about 1 cm. long. Imagine the line has 2
ends; A and B. In frame 30, I want the same line but 10 cms. long AND I want
to drag end B 9 cms. to the right AND without effecting the thickness of the
line. Right now, when I use the scale function on the line in frame 30, it
drags both ends, A and B.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the free transform tool to drag only one end.
