    You mentioned Final Vinyl, which I can only assume uses that technique.
    But there's also Konfabulator, for which users can create their own
    window as a graphic file: <http://www.konfabulator.com/>

    Well, I never mentioned this app. Neither it, or Konfabulator is open
    source, so I can't see the code. I was just curious to see what the
    code looked like.
