    Default Using VSS6.0 and DW MX2004 in a multi-developerenvironment

    Hi,

I can't find anything on the forums nor in the support so I thought I'd ask
    here.

Basically I'm trying to come up with a model on how my team can work together
using DW MX2004, VSS6.0 and a Dev Environment server.

If all my team have the dev server as their "Local" folder, it means any
changes can immediately be tested before they're submitted to VSS. But then
the check-in/out doesn't seem to work well.

If we have our own local areas, then we can't test as we code and therefore
would have to push things to a separate server.

I did envision that we would use local folders, then use the "Put" button to
put things to our Testing Server, and only use the "Check In" and "Check Out"
buttons for the Remote (VSS) server - this doesn't work. "Put" puts things to
    VSS....

Can anyone recommend a good way of working in a multi-developer environment?

    Cheers,
    - B

We work locally and push to a testing server. You will need to
define a local site in DWMX for the testing server and define
another site using the same local folders for SourceSafe.
