v9.0 "Not Enough Memory" Error
I have Illustrator 9.0 on an iMac OS 9.1. I am getting a "not enough memory to open illustration" error. Is there anyway to open my files or are they gone for good?

Re: v9.0 "Not Enough Memory" Error
Did you try restarting your computer, rebuilding your desktop, and Trashing AI preferences?
Also you could update your iMac to 9.2.2

Re: v9.0 "Not Enough Memory" Error
Try placing the file in a new, empty AI file. Also update to AI9.0.2, a free download form Adobe. This will fix the problem. You saved and closed the file with the window minimized.

What does it mean to trash AI preferences?

Re: v9.0 "Not Enough Memory" Error
Go to your system folder, then to preferences, then to Illustrator. Inside the Illustrator preferences folder trash AI preferences and while you're at it trash the AI cache plugins preferences.
Do this when your Illustrator programs are closed. And if you're really frustrated with the whole AI program, restart your computer and rebuild your desktop.
