Vanishing cast members
Working in Director MX, Windows XP Pro. Have a dir file where some cast members
in internal cast "vanished." The picon is there, the name is there, but the
bitmap, text, or embedded font info is not. When I first noted the problem, I
was updating another cast (I have about 8 casts in this dir file). I was
adding, deleting, and resorting bitmaps (added about 100, CTRL-E to point
sprites to new members, deleted old 100, and sorted 'empty at end'). I had
finished repositioning the new bitmaps on the stage and wanted to play movie
from beginning. But I?d lost 15-20 members from the internal cast . . . ? I've
been working with Director for a few years now, but this is a new twist for me.
I can fairly easily reconstruct and I'm going to reinstall Director, but the
vanishing act makes me nervous. Any similar experiences? Any ideas? Thanks

Mate, I don't know how you are posting your mail, but I never see your sig
(I'm using a newsreader). Not that I need to use the link.
