    Default vanishing illustrator files

We have 2 systems, with their own CS versions of Illustrator. As of late, on one system - when we open an Illustrator CS file, all we get is the pasteboard. On the 2nd system, the same file opens fine. We have checked the VIEW mode and no matter what we change it to, the 1st computer will not show anything. it knows enough to open the file, anyone know why i'm not seeing it? thanks so much for any insight.

Sorry, I don't think I've heard this one before. Gotta be a font or 3rd party program or a system conflict of some kind. Are the two running the same systems?

Does on have Virus software the other doesn't?

It is the same file, right? (Let's not throw too many conflicts into it.)

Maybe time to throw away preferences.

You don't get any error message on the one that comes up with a blank page?
