Varchar (8000)...long XML String?? - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

Hello, I have get a XML String that has 30,000 characters in a SQL SP. How can I do that taking under consideration that I can't use a text variable in my store proc since I will be instanciating a DomDoent object in my Store Proc CREATE PROCEDURE adminfCreateMultiMatch sJobXML as Varchar (8000) /** need something bigger*/ AS EXEC sp_xml_preparedoent iDoc OUTPUT, sJobXML ........

    Default Varchar (8000)...long XML String??

    Hello,
    I have get a XML String that has 30,000 characters in a SQL SP. How
    can I do that taking under consideration that I can't use a text variable in
    my store proc since I will be instanciating a DomDoent object in my Store
    Proc


    CREATE PROCEDURE adminfCreateMultiMatch
    sJobXML as Varchar (8000) /** need something bigger*/

    AS

    EXEC sp_xml_preparedoent iDoc OUTPUT, sJobXML
    .....

    AlexsticY,

    You will have to use a text datatype for the parameter you want to pass to
    the stored procedure.
