Variable doube quoting in SQL query when should besingle quote
I have a list I created and keep as a variable. This list is dynamic so there
is no way I can hard code this. So, the variable MUST work in my query.
Anyways the variable I have for TownList =
'Williamstown','Clarksburg','Florida','North Adams' I have a query that I wish
to pull all the data out, but what is happening is that my single quote is
double once I enter the code in my query. I know there is some quick fix, but I
can't remember what it is. Any suggestions.
Here is my query:
<cfquery name="GetForeclosures" datasource="#request.Datasource#">
SELECT *
FROM #request.HomeTable#
WHERE Town in ('#TownList#')
</cfquery>
What my query outputs when run looks like this:
SELECT *
FROM tbl_homes
WHERE City in (''Williamstown'',''Clarksburg'',''Florida'',''Nor th Adams'')
See my single quotes are now double.
