vector art source?
Does anyone know of a vector art source for importing path objects directly
into Freehand or Fireworks?
I've seen the few samples that come with Freehand, but I'm looking for a
larger source.
Thanks!

Clip Art Explosion
500,000 images or more on about 25 CDs includes vector and raster
art.

Re: vector art source?
I own two collections put out by the same folks... it's mostly Illustrator eps
files that can be opened up in FH, but be warned that, as with most clipart,
much of the Explosion series features craptastic files, often with zillions of
unnecessary points on the pathed objects... and much of the objects are not
closed, making it necessary to first ungroup and close each path separately
before filling them with your own colour/pattern/gradient. Circles are merely
many-sided polygons, etc... they look terrible... some of the stuff that the
Explosion series issues looks like it's been around for ages and never
improved... indeed, some of it is so amateurish I'm amazed they paid someone to
do it.
I just wanted to stress that this solution still poses a fair amount of work
in order to get the results you want. In my books, all clipart sucks - it's
just a question of to what degree. Cheers!
