    Default Veranda and Acrobat

I use Acrobat Pro 7.0.8. with Tiger10.4.7. The font Veranda is installed in my Mac. When I choose Veranda in the appropriate settings, the PDF doesn't render with Veranda. All other installed fonts work fine with PDF. Am I missing something?

    Thank you.

Where are you trying to user Verdana, in a document that is to be pdf'd
or in a completed pdf that you are adding content to? If the later,
how. If the former, what software are you using?

I prepare a Word document (.doc) with a Veranda font, to be PDF'd. The font on the PDF is nonetheless the default (Helvetica, I believe).

    How are you checking this?
Simply by looking at the pdf, or by actually bringing up the font properties (file>document properties>font tab)

Thanks for your time and effort. Through blind tinkering too lengthy and scrambled to document, I solved my problem.
