Verity Indexing Crashes Server
I have a website running on an admittedly over-taxed, out-dated,
in-bad-bad-BAD-need-of-replacing server. The server handles its own under
normal load, but running a script that loops over a whopping 22 Verity
collections (one of which has approx. 16,000 documents) to reindex them is
killing the machine.
Aside from replacing the machine, which is in the works, but a ways off, is
there anything I can do to lighten the load that Verity puts on the server
during reindexing? Is there any way to configure the number of simultaneous
requests that Verity makes or the number of threads that it uses?
Any help is much appreciated.
