    Default Version Cue

I am working with InDesign CS and I am going to make some changes to the instruction manuals I am working on. I need something to save my manuals and the older manuals. I need to be able to tell what has been changed and have some kind of revision number on it so I can tell which manual to give our customers.

Is Version Cue for me? I don't know, never used the thing. :/

Version Cue has versioning in it, and you can save different versions of a file with some text indicating changes. However, VC is only available if you but either version of the Creative Suite. It is not available for sale seperately.

It was included with my ID 3.0.

I tried enabling VC now and it seems like it isn't working. I guess this is because I only have ID and not the entire Creative Suite.

    Here is what happens:

I click File>Save As>VersionCue and in the next window it says "Save in:".

I can't choose a custom directory and the default directory is empty. I click Local Files and it isn't saving as VersionCue anymore. :/

Did you mean I need to purchase the entire Creative Suite to work with it?

Did you go to the Control Panel (presuming you're running Windows) and
    enable Version Cue?
