**VERY IMPORTANT** Photoshop Problem
I own Photoshop 6.0 and 7.0 and recently, whenever I go to Layer>Later Style>any of the layer styles, it takes about 5 minutes to display the layer information where you can edit the layer style(bevel and emboss, stroke, etc.) I have uninstalled and re-installed both programs several times yet nothing seems to change. This is an extreme annoyance and I can't even start making graphics for my web page because it takes 5-10 minutes to simply put a drop-shadow on the text. I noticed in the Photoshop readme file, it says to hide all the layer effects and it should load normally but this is not the case. I hope someone can help me....PLEASE!

Let me guess: you're using Windows 98?
It's a known problem in Windows 98 resource management.
The solution is to upgrade to NT, 2K, or XP.

Re: **VERY IMPORTANT** Photoshop Problem
Chris,
I have to disagree with you on ME being SE. The memory management in ME was a step backwards from 98-SE. I know several people who bought computers with ME installed and didn't get them running smoothly until they upgraded to 98-SE.
Bill, running XP home now
