View-Live Data not working

While in a page with dynamic content, I clicked on View, Live Data. I got an
error message that starts out by saying, "error 404 (file not found) occurred
while attempting to request the file
[url]http://localhost/......../index_lksd3ccwc.php[/url] from the testing server."
The file should be index.php, so it looks like a temp file. My machine has 2
gigs of memory, so that's not the culprit. However, I may have it configured
wrong. I also have DW, PHP, etc set up on my laptop. When I tried it on the
laptop, it works just fine. What am I missing. BTW, I set both(DW's) up the
same on each machine.
