Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
I have a number of files which I would like to view in one window and with the thumbnails in the navigation section. I would then like to save all the files in one document.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Joe

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
There are a number of methods of combining PDF files in Acrobat. What version of Acrobat do you have? Are you combining PDFs, or or you converting other formats to PDF? (If the latter, what applications?)

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
Hi Steve, thanks for replying.
My version of Acrobat is 7.0.8 and I'm trying to combine PDF files into one document. If I
change the PDF files into jpeg then I can drag them into one Preview window but there doesn't seem a way to save them in one document. Anyway I would like to keep with the PDF files.

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
To combine documents in Acro 7, just choose File > Create PDF > From Multiple Files.

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
Steve, the only Create command I have in File is Create Adobe PDF Online. Is it possible I can get Create PDF > From Multiple Files into the File menu? I've looked in Prefs but nothing there seems to help.

Not if you only have Adobe Reader.

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
I have just downloaded Adobe Reader 8 but still seems no way to combine a number of pdf files into one window and then save and print all the pages as one document - except by purchasing the Professional upgrade!
Any other ideas, anyone?
Many Thanks
Joe

That's one option, the other is Create Adobe PDF Online. I think you get 5 free trial conversions.

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
Joe,
You said you had Acrobat, not Reader. You need to pay for Acrobat.

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
Sorry Steve, I've been mixing up Acrobat with Reader. I have Adobe Reader 8 now but still no way to combine a number of pdf files into one window. You can in Preview, but you have to change the files into jpeg, and when opened as a group they appear in one window - but you can't print and save as one document. Create Adobe PDF Online doesn't help.
So, is that it - you can't do it in Reader?

Re: Viewing and Saving Muliple Pages
Joe, if you can live with the pages being rasterized in the same way as you were with JPEGs in Preview to could try using Photoshop to open multi PDFs then create PDF presentation with option for multi page doc.
