Viewing Fonts in their Respective Faces
When you are in a program like Microsoft Word, and you pull down the font menu, or view it in a sub-menu, the fonts appear in their relative faces, making it much easier to choose which one you want. My co-workers and I are finding it very frustrating, that in Illustrator & Photoshop, they only appear in Ariel, and that you have to keep selecting them, just to get an idea of what the look like! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! We are using Illustrator 10.0.3 and Photoshop 7.0. We are computer friendly graphic designers, who are basically comfortable in these applications, but not IT wizards by any stretch of the imagination. (We do have one on staff, if it comes down to anything complicated.) Is there anything we can do--options we can select, or add ons we can download-- to View Fonts in the Pull downs, Character Palette, and or Font Sub-menu in thier respective faces?

Re: Viewing Fonts in their Respective Faces
In PhotoShop type your text in any font, highlight the text, click on the
font style on the Options Bar or Character Palette to hightlight it, use the
arrow up and down keys to cycle through your installed fonts. Your entered
text displays in the currently selected font style as you scroll. Sad to say
this does not work in Illustrator... :-(
