Viewing PDF file after printing.
Until this last week, Distiller would automatically open the new PDF file for viewing. Now, I have to go to the file location and open manually. I have check all my preferences in Distiller and in my Acrobat PDF print driver, but it still doesn't automatically open.

Re: Viewing PDF file after printing.
I have a similar problem, except that I do not want Acrobat to automatically start up each time a distiller print is finished. Unchecking that tick box does not solve the problem. Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

When and where are you unchecking it?

Re: Viewing PDF file after printing.
Hi. I have a print queue using the Adobe PS Distiller driver, which creates pdfs in a folder via a PDF port. In the Printing Preferences of the print queue, I have unchecked 'View Result in Acrobat'. When I send a print to that print queue, the pdf is created in the folder, but then Acrobat opens up automatically.

Re: Viewing PDF file after printing.
YOu have it set as the default or you're changing it at print-time?

Re: Viewing PDF file after printing.
As the default. No options are changed during print-time.

Re: Viewing PDF file after printing.
Open Distiller and check the preferences there. Since you are printing to a folder from what I can tell, the Distiller preferences probably take precedence.

Hello, I don't understand your answer. I have the same problem where I used to be able to display a pdf after printing but now I have to go to where I saved the file and open it. What do I check to be able to view the pdf after printing to Adobe PDF Writer? Thanks
