Viewing the event log
I turned on trace flag 1204 and forced a deadlock on our test server. When I
try to view the output in the event log in the Enterprise Manager, double
clicking on the message brings up in a window with next and previous buttons
and I have click through multiple lines of output.
This is REALLY annoying. Is there a better way to view the eventlog?
Thanks,

Re: Viewing the event log
Consider opening the SQL Server error log with a text viewer like
Notepad. The error log is in the Log subfolder of the SQL Server
installation root folder.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Did not know it was a text file.
