    Default Virtual memory low warning

    Howdy,

We recently setup a brand new server with 2GB of memory
with Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003. The system generates
an application popup that says the following soon after a
    reboot:

    ****

    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: Application Popup
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 26
    Date: 6/12/2004
    Time: 8:53:52 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: Server
    Description:
Application popup: Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too
Low : Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is
increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file.
During this process, memory requests for some applications
may be denied. For more information, see Help.

    ******

The server is set to let Windows automatically manage the
memory. We tried setting the entries manually which did
    not resolve the issue.

I even tried removing some of the memory to drop it to
1.5GB but that did not help.

Any assistance is greately appreciated as this is causing
    lots of issues.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

When running Exchange on a Win 2003 server with more than 1 GB of RAM, you
need to add the 3 GB switch and /USERVA 3030 paramter to your boot.ini file.

    Doug,

I am pretty sure I did as I found that article at the time in the
    knowledgebase.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,
