Visibility problem with preload layer
I used the online help for "Show-Hide Layers" in Dreamweaver to add a preload
layer to obscure the other screen content until loading is complete. Although
the preload layer is at the top of the stacking order (highest z-index), until
loading is complete, the only layers it obscures are those without Flash
content. Yet I want to obscure the Flash layers as well.
A sample of this problem is the home page for www.imnbb.com.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Visibility problem with preload layer
Basically you can't do what you want with the method employed. Flash content
(and any other activeX based items) always grabs the topmost stack on the
page disregarding any layers that may be there.

Re: Visibility problem with preload layer
Paul,
Thanks for the explanation. It certainly is consistent with the results of many experiments I did.
