Visual Basic 6 - Macromedia Flash

I have to migrate an existing complex Windows application written in Visual Basic 6 to the web. I am thinking of using Flash MX 2004 for the front-end, and JSP on the back-end. Does anyone have any opinions about why it would not be a good idea to use Flash ? I am a Flash newbie. Thanks....

A decision for using Flash would greatly depend on what the specs of the app
are/would be. Flash can handle pretty complex things, but as always, also
has its limitations. Maybe you can share some of the specs of the app so you
get some more specific advise than just some general remarks. You may also
want to have a look at the specs of Flash at the MM site. That should give
    you a general outline.
