VT100 emulation iin Terminal.app (Mac OS X) - Mac Applications & Software

I use an OpenVMS system extensively. It would be great if the VT- series terminal PF1 thru PF4 keys in Mac OS X Terminal could be mapped to clear (num lock), keypad =, keypad /, and keypad * keys, respectively. By default, they're mapped to F1 thru F4. What's more, the following key mappings would be preferred: Emulated Macintosh Key Key -------- --------- F10 F5 F11 F6 F12 F7 F13 F8 F14 F9 Help F10 Do F11 F17 F12 F18 F13 (print screen) F19 F14 (scroll lock) F20 F15 (pause) If Terminal isn't going to be capable of this, is ...

Default VT100 emulation iin Terminal.app (Mac OS X)

I use an OpenVMS system extensively. It would be great if the VT-
series terminal PF1 thru PF4 keys in Mac OS X Terminal could be mapped to
clear (num lock), keypad =, keypad /, and keypad * keys, respectively. By
default, they're mapped to F1 thru F4. What's more, the following key
    mappings would be preferred:

    Emulated Macintosh
    Key Key
    -------- ---------
    F10 F5
    F11 F6
    F12 F7
    F13 F8
    F14 F9
    Help F10
    Do F11
    F17 F12
    F18 F13 (print screen)
    F19 F14 (scroll lock)
    F20 F15 (pause)

If Terminal isn't going to be capable of this, is there a third-party
    solution that is?

    Thanks,
    Mike

go to Versiontracker.com and serach on iTerm. Advertised as a Jaguar
native Cocao application with VT100 emulation. Maybe this is what you
    are looking for.

If you install the Apple X11 server you could just use xterm and
    reconfigure with xmodmap?

Back in prehistory when DEC included the then MacX in their support for
Macintosh they provided two remapping files, depending on whether you
preferred the key mapping to conform to their label or expected function
    compared to a DEC keyboard.
