Wacom tablet won't work
Haven't used my Graphire 2 since I switched from OS9 to OS10.3. Re-installed tablet and updated driver from web. When I try to draw on my tablet in AI10 or PS7 I get a little yellow notebook paper that my line draws onto and then it disappears when I finish drawing the line. I'm also pursuing this w/ Apple and Wacom, but they're never as accessible and responsive as my Adobe pals.
Thanks in advance, Kathleen

Re: Wacom tablet won't work
Check your settings in the Wacom SW prefs. Looks like it's trying to do character recognition if it's bringing up the notepad thingy. I've since unintstalled my wacom when I started working diagrams as opposed to art, so it's been a while. Actually a year. I'm relatively certain that you have something checked in the options because as long as you are getting feedback from the device, it should work.

Re: Wacom tablet won't work
Go to System Preferences > Ink
Turn Ink off.
OSX has a built in recognition package that pretty much just conflicts with tablet usage. I find it best to just turn off the OS feature.

Re: Wacom tablet won't work
AH, that's right. Ink was exactly what I was trying to remember. Sorry for saying it was in the Wacom software prefs. It's been a while.
