Wanted: Keyboard Shortcut for OCR Text Recognition
Acrobat 9 Pro (iMac, Tiger)
DAK please if there is, or whether I can create my own, a keyboard shortcut for running OCR Text Recognition? and if there is or I could, what it is or how I would go about making one?
I have reams of text files to scan in and process, but only one file at a time. At present, I am having to click Document on the menu, then find OCR on the menu then sub-menu, then okay to run it, which is tediously repetitive.
Thinking it might be quicker, I've set up a Batch sequence for OCR, per the Advanced> Document Processing>Batch, etc but I still have to go to the Advanced menu and so on before being able to run the Batch sequence and for one file at a time there is no saving.
Thanks
Michael

Re: Wanted: Keyboard Shortcut for OCR Text Recognition
You can run a batch sequence on an entire folder in one go.
You need to change the "Run commands on" setting in the Batch Edit Sequence window.

Re: Wanted: Keyboard Shortcut for OCR Text Recognition
Thanks, I've already a go at scanning a folder but that will mean putting all the files in a folder first, which is not ideal, because then I'll have to move the files out f the folder into where they're going to end up. However, if that's the only alternative, and there is no keyboard shortcut then I'll take up your suggestion.
