Hello all!

I'm looking at creating an impression of a wax seal for one of my documents and needed some suggestions on how to create the proper look. Currently, I have played around with the layer effects drop shadow and Bevel/Emboss.

On the Bevel/Emboss, I used a smooth inner bevel and added the molecular texture to it. I feel this is kinda close, but not quite there.

Anyone else have some ideas?

I'm not sure of the look you're after, I'm fairly new to photoshop but "hands on crafting" has been a big part of my life.

Sometimes, the "real thing" is so much easier than computer replication. Sealing wax and imprint tools are readily available---what about scanning or taking a photo of exactly the look you're after??

Thats not a bad suggestion, though then its a matter of my "hands on" skills ;)

I've never actually laid a wax seal, though I did see one on TV *chuckles*

Would I find this sealing wax at a hobby store or would you think it would be elsewhere?

Ooh, that's sounds cool. Dan, I'd try John's action first, in fact, I'd like to experiment with John's action.

Sealing wax kits are at craft stores, stationery stores etc.
