    Default Web backgrounds

    As a nearly-getting-there Web designer, I like using tables. There. Said it.
    When I centre a table, the spaces down the right and left sides is invariably
    white in preview. How do I apply a color to these spaces? I've seen (usually)
    gray used on many sites and would like to include this on my sites.
    Many thanks.

    Default Re: Web backgrounds

    Use CSS to assign either a background color, or a tiling background image to
    your body tag, e.g.,

    body { background-color:orange; }

    or

    body { background-image:url(whatever.gif); }
