Web browsers crawling
Greets -
User has a new PowerBook G4/867 running OS 9.22, and when she goes to
browse the web -- IE, Netscape, makes no difference -- sites crawl
open, if they don't timeout altogether.
Other users on the same network are not experiencing the problem; and
as mentioned, this occurs regardless of which browser is used.
I thought perhaps the DNS servers were the issue -- not near the
machine now to compare its DNS entries with the others on the network
-- but the browsers seem to translate the IP address pretty easily
before they make a connection to a site and then bog down during
downloading.
Email shows no lag when downloading messages from a POP server.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks,
z
