Web design issue- please help

    Default Web design issue- please help

    Hi All,

    I am an intermediate level of web designer. I would like you to give me some advice on web design issues;
    i.e. if someone needs to develope a website that can change its content. how would i develope this site, I mean what do i need to make easy for the person to maintain his website (content management) bear in mind that person has no technical knowledge. Can you please advice me with methods and techniques to develope this kind of website. Meantime I am using dreamweaver 4.

    You basically answered your own question.

    You can develop your own content management system, or find a web host that offers one as part of the package.
    DIY content management, you have to do some planning to have your product be scalable.
    Out-of-the-box content management ham strings you by making you work within their templates and backend system.

    As a web designer you should know how to work out with your client what the look and feel will be.
    Storyboard the whole site.

    The rest I usually play it by ear.

    The main way we do it is with a database driven approach using ASP, there
    are lots of different technologies. I tend to handcode rather than use DW
    MX. However, doesn't Macromedia have a product called Contribute which
    allows end users to change text and images but not to touch the underlying
    layout. I don't think it is that expensive.
