confused;Advice is needed from Dreamweaver users.

Scenario - Our web site was created by a small design shop. My supervisor
wants to bring everything inhouse for management, changes, and future web
development. As a communications professional I'm new to all this, now taking
Dreamweaver classes and weighing the pros and cons. Our organization is small
and relies on grants and donations for financial stability. Can anyone relate
to this issue and can they tell me what worked for them?
