Web Page Links
I have created an animated page in Fireworks and would like to use a section of text on this page to link to another page which I created in Dreamweaver.
How do I do this? There doesn't seem to be a simple "create link" command within Fireworks. Do I have to import the Fireworks file into Dreamweaver and then link it from there?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Web Page Links
Hi EverTony,
If you have want to make your text object link to another page. I have
listed the steps below on you can create that link.
1. Open a new document in Fireworks (File > New)
2. Using the Text tool, insert a your text (Ex. Click this Link)
3. Select Modify > Insert > Slice (This will create a slice above your text
object)
4. In the Properties Inspector, type the URL or path on the Link properties.

I hope this helps.

Re:Web Page Links
Boy I am glad I am not the only dumb one. But it is quite frustrating for me where I have posted several messages on this issue. I have been referred to several links for info but none of them explains exactly how you link. First of all, the pages you create within your site can be pages from fireworks, flash or dreamweaver all which have various ways of creating links to pages within your site. What puzzles me is that there are a few ways of doing it, all of which focuses on Dreamweaver and not so much on Fireworks.
Fireworks gives you the option to enter URL links in the Pop Up Menu Editor. Fine! If you have the absolute URL such http://www.macromedia.com, I can just as well go to the address field do a copy and paste and it works.
Again, there is no where on this site which I have looked for at least 4 days now, that explains exactly how to link files within your site. No Where! So if you are the desperately seeking soul I believe you to be, I'll appreciate if you will keep me inform and vise-versa.
