Web page that is a link to a pdf document opens up blank
I installed Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional Tryout. It worked fine. After the tryout period expired I un-installed it. Since then, whenever I try and open a webpage that is a link to a pdf document, a blank page comes up.
(Note, I have Acrobat Reader installed and pdf documents I open from my hard drive or a removable disk automatically open in Acrobat Reader.)
Hope you can help - the tryout software was great, but this issue I'm left with is nuisance. Of course I can right click on the link to the pdf document and click 'save target as' to save it to my hard drive and then open it, but I would rather not have to use this laborious work around.

Re: Web page that is a link to a pdf document opens up blank
I would be inclined to:
try help>detect and repair - if this does not help,
uninstall Reader, remove all Reader/Acrobat Directories, and reinstall Reader, and check that Edit>Preferences - Internet has "Display PDF in Browser" set.
Cheers
Ian

Thanks Ian - Un-installing and re-installing did the trick.
