Web Site Update Suggestions
I need to create a neighborhood website in which content can be added several
times each day. It will display sports scores and other neighborhood
information.
Would Macromedia Contribute be the best solution for these daily updates or is
there a better solution?
Thank you

Re: Web Site Update Suggestions
Hello,
i'd have a good read of these forums if I were you as there are many simple
things that Contribute seems unable to do (I've just posted some questions
based on my concerns with Contribute).
I'm not an expert in these things but it's probably worth looking into other
CMS solutions.. some are free and may do the job you require!
i found this article useful:

good luck!

Re: Web Site Update Suggestions
How many people will be adding content?
Contribute is a desktop app, it must be licensed and installed on each
"seat" where a user will be.
If there are very many people/locations, install a ready made CMS or roll
your own. There are open source web apps for sports leagues that might meet
your needs for some of all of this.
A key feature that might be handy is being able to import .xls or csv files
for the sports update so the users don't have to retype a huge multicolumn
table of stats.
There are also basic static page editors you can install that allow making
updates online using a form.
