WebService not obeying web.config error reporting settings
Hi
I'm trying to setup a web service to run under a web-site on Windows 2003
Server . If I type the URL to the web-service in the address bar of a browser
running on the server itself, I get the default page listing the webmethods
available and can invoke them no problems.
However, if I access the web-service from a browser on another machine, I
get an error. Even though I have set my web.config <customErrors> mode="Off",
I still don't see any error information in my browser. All I see if the
default text recommending me to set mode="Off"!!
First of all, I'm baffled that the web-service seems fine when accessed from
a browser running on the same machine, yet not externally.
Secondly, how can I determine the nature of the error with the error
information?
