Default Websites not accessable on IIS 6.0 when access.lockfile occure

    Hi !

We have a major problem with MS Access and our IIS 6.0.

Some of the websites run MS Access (ASP-code) and when

access.lockfile occure none of the sites are accessable.

The workaround is to restart the whole server which is bad.

Why is access.lockfile poping up (but just sometimes - 3 times in 5 month)

and why does this make all websites stop running?

We changed from Windows 2000 with IIS 5.0 to Windows 2003 Webedition (IIS
    6.0)

and this problem never occured before.

    Regards Jan

Default RE: Websites not accessable on IIS 6.0 when access.lockfile occure

We are having a similar problem. We haven't isolated down to the same point. We just know that it is related to asp pages. (i wouldn't be surprised if its pages with databse access - all of our databases are MS Access).

We are locking up more frequently though. We recently went from Win 2000/IIS 5 to Win 2003/IIS 6.

If any one has more information I would appreciate the help.
