    Default Weird Behaviour Bug...anyone?

    Hi

    I'm using DirectorMX in the WindowsXp OS and sometimes I recieve a strange
    error:

    "Script Error: Incorrect Behaviour Initializer (periods are not allowed in
    symbols)"

    I'm using the following behaviour, found at mediamacros.com:
    -------------------------------------------
    on getPropertyDescriptionList me

    set d = []

    addProp d, #pConstrainer, [#default 0, #format #integer, #comment "Slider
    will be constrained to sprite "]

    addProp d, #pOrientation, [#default #horizontal, #format #string, #range
    [#horizontal, #vertical], #comment "This slider will be "]

    addProp d, #pMaxValue, [#default 200, #format #float, #range [#min 0, #max
    200], #comment "Maximum volume of sound value"]

    addProp d, #pMinValue, [#default 0, #format #float, #range [#min 0, #max
    200], #comment "Minimum volume of sound value"]

    addProp d, #pAffectV1, [ #comment "Control soundtrack 1 ", #format #boolean,
    #default TRUE ]

    addProp d, #pAffectV2, [ #comment "Control soundtrack 2 ", #format #boolean,
    #default TRUE ]

    addProp d, #finger, [ #comment "Grabbing hand cursor over this button?",
    #format #boolean, #default TRUE ]

    return d

    end

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    on getBehaviorDescription

    set description = "This is a sound slider behavior. Can be vertical or
    horizontal. Drop the behavior on the button itself," & RETURN &"then specify
    which sprite you want the button to be constrained to. "

    return description

    end

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    on GetBehaviorTooltip

    sContent = "This is a sound slider behavior. Can be vertical or horizontal.
    Drop the behavior on the button itself," & RETURN &"then specify which
    sprite you want the button to be constrained to. "

    return sContent

    end GetBehaviorTooltip

    -------------------
    However, when I save my movie, restart Director and open my movie again
    EVERYTHING is fine again??! No error whatsoever?
    Does anyone know anything about this error (like TechNotes, patches, code,
    anything?) Please help me cos it's starting to drive me mad!

    Yes, this is a bug. This happens when for some reason Director can´t erase
    the last instance of this behavior from memory.
    The only workaround i´ve found is to remove the current behavior from your
    sprite and reassign it. Make sure you do this with every single sprite that
    uses that behavior as they all reference in a bad way.
