What are the !== and === operators for? - PHP Development

I have seen code with the !== and === operators in it and got confuzed. WTF are those for I asked myself. So I looked around PHP.net... To no avail personally (although I didn't really write a bot and scour the entire website :p). All I want is a short and sweet answer to the q: wtf are the !== and === operators?...

    It checks that they are the same type, not just evaluating to the same value
    after type promotion.

    Go to PHP manual, click on "Operators", then click on "Comparison
    Operators".

    == reads 'is the same (for all practical purposes) as'
    === reads 'is identical to'

    0 == "0" evaluates to true as the string "0" is converted to int
    0 === "0" evaluates to false as an int is not the same as a string

    != and !== work the same way
