What can you do with hyperlinks?

I understand there is more to be done with hyperlinks than loading webpages.
Here's what i'd like to do:

I have two movies, a main projector and a navigation window (MIAW)

Can i use text in the navigation window to control the main projector using
the hyperlink feature?

If so how?

text. Could add a hyperclick text to marker name crossreference property
list database.
