mine never does that. edges are often slightly aliased but printing the
offending photos proves it was mainly a monitor fault.

What gets me is the smudge under the eye cup ? What the hell is that ?

Have a look at the lens in the eye cap.
Light is reflecting there which backs to the G5 lens.

So how did I get this motion blur effect ? Look inside the main film chamber
... another blur also. Clearly something inside the camera is moving.

Both of the "blurs" look like multiple reflections landing side-by-side.
From what is appearing in the viewfinder, is the light a multi-globe
light? It seems to be 3 separate globes causing reflections, so you see
3 times as many reflections as there normally would be.

Still a few too many though.

duno what went wrong, but the background is very bright, i think that alot
of stuff that otherwise would be unnoticed is showing up due to the light
from the background shining onto the lens.

i am thinking twice about getting a g5
sounds like the coating is only on the outside lens surface
or miro takes photos with a dirty lens

    Yuck!

You need a lens hood. If you're already using one, perhaps some sort of
home made light shield might help.

That's another iris reflection, but smeared. My guess is that it's a
    reflection from a curved surface.

It's not motion blur, it just looks like it. It's a reflection from a
curved suface. My bet is that one of them is from the eyepiece lens.

    ghosts.

The filter adaptor serves as a decent lens hood. Especially on mid-focal
range. The problem is unique to the angle and power of lights. Namely the
    light from the side.

Slightly off topic but is that a pentax in the shot?
