What is a good, pen-like input device?
Probably a dumb question, but is there a good, pen-like input device for drawing in Illustrator and Photoshop, or is scanning a drawing the best route?

Re: What is a good, pen-like input device?
Wacom, the most popular, and some would say "Industry Standard" for digitising stylus/pen input. <http://www.wacom.com/index2.cfm>.
If you pop on over to the Photoshop forums you'll be likely to get more general advice regarding using Wacom tablets.

But, keep checking back here, or do some persuing and searching in the Illustrator Forums for other threads and posts referring to "Wacom" and "digitizing" or "digitising" and/or "tablets".

I've used both methods. The Wacom Intuos is the best tablet. You can also
create a drawing, then scan and Autotrace it (or trace bitmap). Some people
may find that faster. Once you have in your computer, you can refine it
more.
