What to do with FW-MX after upgrading to FW-MX2K4?
Hello,
I am a loyal advocate of Macromedia products. With that comes a lot of upgrades. When I installed Fireworks MX 2004, my current installation of Fireworks MX still remains. Should I uninstall it, or is the new version somehow dependant on my previous install?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave--
They can live happily side-by-side, or you can delete the previouis
version if you'd like. There is no connection between the two.
You will want to copy over any custom commands, styles etc. that you
might have installed in FW MX, but after that you can uninstall the
older version if you'd like.

According to the current EULA, by installing FMX2004, you have agreed to
remove FMX.

Hopefully the EULA will be revised soon so we can dispense with this
nonsense (?)

Thanks for the info. Guess I should read the EULA next time, I really do look forward to reading several pages of small print when I get a new app, I just don't know why I forgot this time ; )

Whenever possible, I just find myself cutting and pasting the EULAs into
TextPad/Notepad/Wordpad, so I can read the text like a human being.
For the most part, the ergonomics of most EULA displays seems to indicate
that someone is getting a kickback on scrollwheel usage. I especially like
the ones on websites, where the scrolling window is about 1/16 the size of
the screen. This also seems to be the abiding rule for User Comment and
Message fields.
Cheers,
Sam
