What's the situation with Shockwave plugin and OSX?
I just discovered that the Shockwave plugin doesn't work with either Explorer, Safari or Netscape on my Mac with OS 10.2.8. When I try to load this page: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/welcome all these apps just quit. - How does Shockwave work with Panther? Any official announcements about the future of Director and Shockwave from Apple or Macromedia? I started using Director when it was named VideoWorks, and Director was a Mac only app for several years. Now it seems that Macromedia is forgetting the Mac community - or is it Apple that is ignorant?

it there, but statistically the most frequent cause is a damaged
installation... uninstalling and reinstalling fixes most player problems:

I haven't seen any Panther-specific problems with the Player yet, but it> How does Shockwave work with Panther?
generally takes a month or so to get a good handle on anything that made
it out of beta. If something comes up we'll get it documented in
Macromedia's general "Panther Emerging Issues" technote:

The Macintosh version of Director makes money for the company... haven't
seen any change in that. If it makes money for you, and makes money for
us, then that means others are paying us because they find this work of
value, which is good for everyone.
