What's wrong with flash player 9

everybody flash player 9 is driving me mad
in flash the getURL function is not working for flash player 9 the results are
not as aspected for example consider
getURL("http://www.something.com","_self");
clicking on this should load the page in the current window but not working at
all and then this one
getURL("http://www.something.com","content");
where content is the frame name in the same window in which the flash is
loaded on another frame clicking on the link must load the page in the
specified frame instead it is loaded in a new window
but there is no problem with flash player 8
why is this only in player 9
please answer me

Is this in a SWF playing in a browser, or in a Flash Projector EXE?
