I think that I am making a text box. Actually I have tried it a couple of different ways. I usually create text by selecting the text tool from the tool box, type text, and then select the text with the selection (arrow) tool. This gives me a box around the text with handles and lines under each line of text. I have also tried to cut and paste text from another Illustrator document. All the steps in the help section work up to the point of "make".

Wrong way! Select the text tool then drag to make a text frame you cannot wrap point type.

Thanks, it works when I create the box and then type inside. Help me out, what is point type and why is it different than what I type into the box?

Point type is text on a path It is sort of not in a container such a text frame kind of more as to an object type rather than formatted text.
