Default when opening a picture, fireworks immediatly opens it

Whenever I save a picture or open a picture, it always opens up with fireworks? usually, by right hand clicking, i have an option on which program to use to open a picture or save a picture. I don't really use fireworks that much can anyone please help me disable this feature of "always open every picture with fireworks?"

    Hello,

This is another issue of file type association of image files, to open up in
Fireworks. Here are the workaround from my previous postings:

"You can refer to the TechNote below for the workaround to the issue. We
    also
have developed a utility that will restore your file association setting to
what it was before you installed Firework.

    ions.htm>

    To restore them manually,

    I hope this helps.

    Hi.

I wanted to ask firstly, if you had Quick time and Windows XP? If you do then images will open up in a sort of preview format on your creen with QT and then from there, when you wish to edit it with a certain program then just right click and select open with... and choose your program. It's odd to me that all your images are opening up with fireworks because fireworks only opens PNG's unless you are importing a graphic into fireworks. What Windows platform are you running?
