Default When using rollback feature...Renames file to .newextension and generates errors

Hi there again. I'm writing about another question for Contribute 3. When I
enable the Rollback feature in someone's profile, I can click edit, do the
editing but when I try to Publish, it gives me an error telling me the file
doesn't exist. Seems that it renames the file with a .new extension after you
click Edit but then when you publish it, it can't see the old file name so it
gives an error. How do I fix this?

Just to clarify, Are you trying to edit a previous version of a file? If so,
you need to rollback to it, making that page the current page, then edit the
current page. To "rollback" to a page, you need to click file, actions,
then "roll back to a ..."

I've just played around with this today, so I'm not an expert. I would
make sure you have the updater for version 3.

I downloaded the trial so i'm assuming it would have all the patches and
updates already integrated in it. I'm not sure if I have access to them if not
because i'm using a trial. I will check. I'm not trying to edit a rollback
file, just the original. I'm not really sure how the rollback works because
i'm only trying it out but I thought it would be a good thing to have enabled
since I didn't know the program all that well. Guess it was a bad idea! Get
back to me if you can be of further assistance. Thank you for your time.
