Re: where is prefs file in MXa?
What platform and OS are you using? On a Mac the Prefs are at:
Users/(Username)/Library/Application Support/ Macromedia/ FreeHand MX/ 11/
English/ Settings/Preferences

Re: where is prefs file in MXa?
hi....
sorry, forgot to mention platform.. win XP (don't ask why)
Some strange things has happened after I posted my topic. Fonts are gone
missing, though they are installed on my pc. Only standard fonts in FH is in
drop menu. When I open a prev file I get "fonts missing - replace etc etc".
I use a Corel appl called FontNavigator, which can handle fonts which causes
Explorer to crash and burn. F Nav has also crashed now. Never happened before.
got a clue?

Re: where is prefs file in MXa?
Hello,
The preferences file of FreeHand (fhprefs) in Win XP is located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\anthony.dugenia.APAC\Application
Data\Macromedia\FreeHand MX\11\English\Settings
With regard to the Font issue. Try reinstalling both Corel Font Navigator and
FreeHand on your machine. Then for Freehand, make sure you download the
FreeHand 11.0.2 updater using the following link:
<http://www.macromedia.com/support/freehand/updaters.html>
I hope this helps.

Re: where is prefs file in MXa?
Hi, Anthony!
and thanks... but I still have some probs here.... I can't see this path on my
computer...
My path is: C:\Documents and Settings\bjorn\UserData\ ....and some folders
named like L4N95D43 etc.
I've seen the path you refer to.. in edit preferences within FH... but when I
open Explorer I can't find it... it looks like the one above.
Any clues?

Re: where is prefs file in MXa?
Hi Bjorn,
To see this path, set your Folder Options in Windows Explorer to "show all
hidden files and folder". After this, you should see the path
C:\....Application Data\Macromedia\FreeHand MX\11\English\Settings
I hope this helps!
