Where to start?
Hi,
I'll be finishing my degree in Multimedia Technology in January and was
wondering, where would someone like me start to look for work, and how much
would I expect my wages/salary to be?
Thanks.

Re: Where to start?
hi probly around 10k to 13k. your web site does not show me a great deal of
skill in design or coding. you need to show off your work more, plus need to
get a more professional feel to your site. if you have experience already
then you might get 15k upwards
i hope that helps

Re: Where to start?
post your resume and examples on places like Monster.com (.ca in Canada)
the 10-15K salary - I hope was in American $$ and a starting wage because multimedia designers who are good and have a reputation make a lot more than that.
My site sucks (I have no time to code my site, but am swamped with Director and CF programming because I have a reputation here in Manitoba) (a new one is in developement :-D)
I contract out to many clients as my own company for $125/hr (CDN) ... I pretty much give a "project price" to the client though, estimating how much work is involved before creating a project plan and contract. (i.e "your CD will cost you $9500 including 1000 CD replication at completion")
When I was working FT with new media companies I was making 35K and 50K ... then I went out on my own!
Keep your prospects and your mind open and eventually you will find someone who will pay what you are worth.

RE: where to start?
An XML Web service is a programmable entity that provides a particular
element of functionality, such as application logic, and is accessible to any
number of potentially disparate systems using ubiquitous Internet standards,
such as XML and HTTP. XML Web services depend heavily upon the broad
acceptance of XML and other Internet standards to create an infrastructure
that supports application interoperability at a level that solves many of the
problems that previously hindered such attempts.

Where to start?
I have designed a cd quiz which works using flash and xml (to store q's). I
want to now develop an online quiz using cf. I reallly need some guidance on
where to start for this project
I currently use as2 to determine if the q is right or wrong, determine if
there is a next q and if so move on to the nxt q, store the users registration
details and score to that user (using a so), xml stores the q and a details
etc. I would like to use a database to store user info and q & A (not
access).....
Shall i need to use cf to determine right or wrong q's, which user is on quiz
and score to them, if so how, is there a way to keep as much info I have in as2
as possible, would cf be better and more functional?
Basically everything is in as2, I want to now use cf to put it on the server,
any tips on where to start? Here is some of the old code I have done to give
you an idea on what I have been up to :
