Where's the Goodies tab?

    Default Where's the Goodies tab?

I've got a whole pile of DW extensions, some from my old DW 4, some newer ones.
When I enable them with Extension manager, I get about a dozen tabs in my
Insert Bar; each tab has only 1 or 2 buttons! The Head tab is renamed Favicon!
    It's a dog's breakfast.
I'm using Mac OS 10.3; everything else runs like a dream. DW 4 was in OS 9.2,
& ran fine. Is there a OS9/OSX conflict here?
Also, Extension Manager loaded once, then wouldn't load until I killed the
    Prefs folder

What exactly do you mean by enable them with extension manager? Do you mean that you you imported them through File > Import, or installed them indicidually?

If the former, I'd suggest uninstalling all of them, and then install them one at a time.

If the later, then it appears that these older extensions have met up with an updated way DW handles objects, and came out the worse for wear. It may be possible to fix that by making edits to the file that configues the Insert bar.

    /Configuration/Objects/Insertbar.xml

Make sure to look at the user's copy of that file:

I think that what you saw was an EM bug. If it happens again, then read this for a way to not have to trash your preferences:

I had imported them by File > Import.
Thanks; I've tweaked the Insertbar.xml file. FYI the path was
    user > Library > App Support > macromedia > dreamweaver > configuration >
    objects > insertbar.xml
That was a bit scary going that far in! But looks great now.
& thanks for the tip on EM Prefs. EM works great now.
I forgot to say I'm using DW MX 2004 with the update
