Which video format?
How do I decide what video format is best to use in a Director application? What things need to be considered? How do you choose between QuickTime, AVI, MPG (which version), and so on. I will be developing for a controlled environment, so I can install any Xtras and things required... but I just don't understand video enough to know what is important to consider when making such a decision.
Any tips or liks to good video info?

Re: Which video format?
QuickTime with Sorenson compression provides a very good output, obviously
you'll need QT Player installed on all playback machines (which is nice
having a controlled environment). Also, no Xtras required for Director.
I would also suggest maybe MPEG-1, but you would need an Xtra such as MPEG
Advance, (http://xtras.tabuleiro.com/products/mpeg_advance/index.tdb) no
additional players required with this option.

Re: Which video format?
For years we used QT, using the Sorensen compressor. Results were very nice.
We've just started using the MPEG Advance Xtra from Tabuleiro though and I'm
very happy with the results plus the fact that the end-users don't need to
install QT is a winner. We're very happy with the picture quality,
audio-visual sync etc.
